Hello friend,
Have you just about given up on these people, ready to pull your hair out or really hurt someone?
Has your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend or family member gotten on your last nerve?
Do you constantly find yourself at odds with your significant or potential other?
Are they constantly doing the same thing to upset you day in and day out?
Do you and your friends notice the glaring defects in these people?
Is it hard to find good men out here, beyond the sperm donors?
Are most of the women out here too angry and material based?
Are the men more feminine and the women more masculine?
Where are the sane and good people today?
Have you come to the conclusion that everyone out here is sick and crazy and you would rather be alone because of this?
If so and as your advisor, this is what you should do.
Immediately run to the bathroom, your bedroom or the closest department store and
get in front of the largest mirror that you can find and just stand there for at least 5 minutes.
In other words, look at yourself.
Get a pencil and paper, make a line in the middle of the page from the top to the bottom and make two columns. One column for Life Enhancing Actions that you have done in the last week and one for the Life Degenerating Actions that you have done in the last week.
If you are like the average person that does not invest in their self improvement (religion not included), watches the news, soap operas and associates with people that live the same or a similar lifestyle, then your list of negative actions may be much longer than the positive actions. If so, you must begin working on this starting yesterday.
You may not be able to differentiate between what is negative and positive, so you may want to share your list with a totally neutral person. In addition to this, sometimes we are too close to the issue at hand and can not see things clearly.
We don't want to use your "friend" or "family" for this critique. You want someone that will be totally honest with you and unfortunately, most of us do not have these types of friends. If you do, you are blessed and you can share the list with them and ask them to critique it for you.
If you can remember, write down the television programs you watch and if it was negative or positive. Document the news programs, soap operas, movies and even the conversations you had for the past day or week.
On the next page, write down the type of impact you think these actions have on you?
We have heard the saying, "for every action, there is an equal reaction". With this, write down what types of meals you have eaten. Write down the impact these foods have on your health. Are you constipated? Do you have bad breath, frequently angry, upset, stressed and always tired? Some of us don't know when we are constipated, so again, use a neutral person to critique this for you.
If you think a hamburger, cheeseburger or fried chicken is life enhancing, then you should definitely have a neutral person that does not think anything like you review your list and critique it.
I don't mean the average nurse or health professional that is out of shape, can't run a mile to save their life and frequently eats at fast food restaurants. We don't want to use the expensive life coach that does not understand your unique environment and culture as well. Sorry, they don't count as qualified counsel.
Sit in a quiet room for at least 30 minutes in the morning or at night and reflect on the outcomes of your thinking and actions. Determine if they match. For instance, if you watch the news everyday, then more than likely you will be fearful, distrustful and stressful in your outlook.
If you invest time and resources into your self improvement on a daily basis, you should have congruent outcomes.
In addition, if you eat red meat, fried foods, lots of dairy, sugar and very few raw fruits and vegetables, then you will more than likely be obese, have dull looking skin, unpleasant body odor (perfume and cologne does not count), hot or short temper and not very healthy in the physical or mental sense.
I know there are many people today that say food is not everything and appearance is superficial, yet have you ever seen a person unhealthy on the outside, yet healthy on the inside? No, I don't think so.
We will stop here for now and continue this later. Please feel free to ask me any questions or post any concerns that I may be able to assist you through. Ask your questions or post comments here.
Your body is the temple of the holy spirit and your mind is the material used to build it.
What kind of material are you working with?
