Hello friend,
I must apologize to you today because I have nothing to offer you, but love.
You may say, "KhaazRa, love does not pay my bills, love can't buy me a car,
a house, the clothes, the vacations and love can't run my business".
So, what's love got to
do with it?
In your quest for quick thrills, temporary satisfaction through material possessions, fleeting moments of "love" making, fame and glory, Love is what you are truly seeking. It is what seperates the ordinary from the extraordinary.
Love is the foundation of all timeless success stories. Look at it. Whether you like or agree with Oprah Winfrey or Donald Trump is irrelevant. What is important here is that you understand that the love they have for their work is what makes them successful.
The lack of love for ourselves has the history of holding us back from more than we know. Although the physical enslavement of Afrikans, now Afrikan-Americans
is in the remote pass, the one major block has been the conditioning of the thought process and nurturing of self-hatred that has been handed down from generations until the present day.
It takes on many forms. Not the ordinary black on black, white on white or hate crimes we hear of. This self-hatred is apparent even amongst the so-called learned.
At this very moment, there is a major movement in the United States over the case of the Jena 6. Six young Afrikan American men being jailed for a school fight with whites that was apparently racially motivated. Now, I won't say who started it, who was wrong or right, yet when the smoke cleared, 6 young Afrikan American men were jailed and given extremely high bails.
Michael Baisden, a syndicated radio host put his livelihood on the line and gave this issue major publicity. Being that so many people still rely on mainstream media for news, it was not that popular until Michael Baisden began talking about it consistently on his radio program, which is broadcast in over 50 cities in the U.S..
Ok, now we are at the point where the Jena 6 issue is well known. Michael Baisden is in Louisiana, reportedly scheduled to have a party the night before the march, an unannounced march the day before the major march in Jena and a book signing in the process. Which I personally think is proactive and productive, but...
A major black led organization whose name I won't mention in order not to breed further dissension made it public by instructing people not to support Michael Baisden
because he was having a party and guess what! Alcohol was going to be served. Also, this black led organization said that Michael Baisden did not inform them of the impromptu march and that he was trying to take this movement over. And the big one is that he was having an actual book signing in the process, trying to make money for himself.
Can you imagine that? A black man trying to legitimaly make money for himself? Some people sure have alot of nerve now days...
My dear friend, if you have any business savvy or strategy about yourself, you would say that having a book signing, impromptu march and a party is a clever idea. I won't speak of the alcohol because we are all adults and I'm sure that many of us, from the vegetarian to the pork chop eater, have a drink from time to time. Hopefully, we are doing what is necessary to account for the destruction of our cells as a result.
Now, this brings us back to the principle of love. If you love yourself unconditionally, there is no room to focus on any petty issue that you deem of another person. What your significant other said or what they didn't do for you.
Some of you spend so much time focusing outward that it literally upsets you and prevents you from experiencing unlimited joy because of how you think another person should think, how they should be and what they should do. Yes friend, many people, even those that consider themselves progressive, actually have this Napoleon type of complex.
You should be so much in love with yourself
and working on yourself that you just don't have time to divert your energy into how someone else should be. How could anything else be productive? You can't improve your life nor can you build a business that you are passionate about while focusing on other people and what they do that you don't agree with.
If you pay any attention today to people like Tony Brown, Les Brown, Iyanla Vazant and many others that are considered motivational speakers, you will notice that they focus on changing and altering your mind in a positive way in order to make your life more productive. Your objective is to change on the inside in order to see the effects on the outside.
If you eat pork, greasy foods, garlic and alot of onions, you can be assured that your body will emit these aromas or shall I say odors. If you are obese or don't take care of your body, no amount of girdles or underwear that push your stomach in, make-up or tight clothes will change these facts.
If you are bald, you can cut your hair with a razor three times a day, yet the hair from within, still grows back.
We must honestly look in the mirror every day and the keywords are "honestly" and with "love". You and I can never lie to ourselves. We can pretend, yet we can not lie to ourselves. What you nurture from within will surely reflect outwardly again again and again.
You have been exposed to authors and secrets traditionally kept away from the masses and especially the descendants of Afrikan slaves. Industry giants like Dale Carnegie, Andrew Carnegie, Thermont DuPont and others have a very successful track record in making people successful. Their main focus is your mind and its development of a fertile birthing center.
Now that the weekend is here and before or while you are having a blasts and I hope that you do, please do yourself a favor and take one step towards loving yourself even more. Read one chapter a day to improve your life. Take one bite or spoon of something nutritional to improve your health.
Your body is the temple of the holy spirit and your mind is the material used to build it.
