I remember making my first $100,000 in New York City. When I look back on it, it all seemed to just flow. It sort of happened, yet there is much more to this.

I had just completed a thorough cleansing of my mind and body, yet did not have the resources to continue eating all the healthy organic fruits and vegetables needed in order to experience a rich, fulfulling and optimal healthy lifestyle. The health foods were just too costly at the time for my budget.

In addition to not having the necessary financial means, I was sort of a loner at the time, which did not make anything better. I was the type of person that stayed to himself and relied on doing just about everything myself. It wasn't that I did not know anyone. I knew plenty of people. The problem was that I did not make these people my friends and thereby influence them in any particular way.

They were like strangers. Very similar to many of our neighbors today. This is where we sleep at night and hold our most precious belongings. Imagine the impact, if at least 4-5 neighbors on your street were your friends. They would help watch over your children, home, cars and even voluntarily offer assistance .

Imagine the family dinners and fun that you could have together! You would also save money by dining together instead of spending money at expensive restaurants with people whom you don't know and more than likely will never know. You could also share with cooking chores and food bills. The benefits are endless.

Back to the story. I had a job at the time, yet it only afforded me the opportunity to live in the inner city, where to be honest, the quality of life was just not that great. Too many elements to mention here.

This is what I could afford during this period and environment is very important when trying to experience an optimized lifestyle. Not just for myself, yet for my family. Schools, neighbors, grocery stores, service and a host of things are much better in particular areas and we all know this.

Without making this long and drawn-out, let's get right to the point. As soon as I began to communicate with the people that I had known and while talking to them listenening to what they had to say instead of telling them all about me. I began to learn and understand more about what interested them.

If you talk with people today, you will notice that they can't wait to tell you all about them because this is their first interest, yet the communication lines can only operate on one line at a time. Two people can not effectively talk simultanously and very little is gained if at all.

If you observe, listen and ask more questions about their interest, you will learn a great deal and possibly gain a friend by just listening and giving them attention. This holds true with your children, friends, wife, husband, co-worker and
people you barely know.

I was new at this, yet my world and view on life expanded tremendously. I was able to leave the low paying job and acquire a contract that immediately tripled my income.
Of course, my options in life opened dramatically. From purchasing the health foods that I needed to travelling and acquiring what my family had been wanting for so long.

There is so much more to tell you about this, yet for now I will say this. If I had not gained friends through techniques that the average person is not aware of, which enabled me to influence people, I would not have succeeded in my endeavors. To this very second, this science of Winning Friends and Influencing People is a critical key to my success in life.
