My best friend helped his teenage son by giving him money, providing him transportion to and from work. Sending him to the best schools, purchasing expensive organic fruits and vegetables so that his mind and body operated at peak performance.

His son had all of the latest outfits and sneakers. He did everything that a father would do for a son and invested alot of his time, energy and money.

His mom literally allowed him to do what he felt when he felt like it. His parents loved him dearly and invested in whatever they thought he needed. Again, lots of time and money.

My uncle did even more for his sons. Moving his family, which included adolescent and teeange sons to the suburbs with A schools, upper class neighborhoods with large homes and an environment of high income producing people.

My uncles son's did not have the same issues as my cousin and I did living in the inner city where as young boys and men, we were often faced with making life changing decisions, just walking to the store or down the street where we lived.
Life can be much easier when you live in a community where poverty of mind is not the norm.

Think about it. To have constant exposure to the best schools, best neighborhoods, best cars, mingling with smart people and high incoming producing neighbors. Success in mind, body and spirit should be a mere byproduct.

Fate has shown a different case almost each and every time because the one thing that you often do not invest in, is the development and efficiency of your child's mind. I am not talking about sending them off to school to learn from a curriculum that you know can not help them solve one of life's problems. I am talking about a more intrinsic investment.

I could tell you so much more about my friend and uncle above and share even more scenarios as I grew up in the inner city and have been blessed and lucky enough to escape its ills.

Many, way too many of my friends and family can't say this. They have been dealt the school of hard knocks lessons to learn from. This alone can decrease your health and accelerate aging.

You and I already know about the many horror stories, lost dreams and waisted talent flushed down the toilet, often times due to a lack of preparation and lack of investment in developing your mind and that of your child so that the proper decisions could be made.

This lack of investment causes you and your children much torment and pain in life because their mind has not been developed and not efficient enough to conquer the challenges and lessons of life. If you are not trying to master your mind by developing it and making it super efficient, then how will you handle the storms of life when they come and they will come?

But wait, let's not get too far ahead. To help your child or anyone else develop their mind, you must first understand how to develop yours. Think back for a minute. Remember that good teacher and the positive impact they had on you? I surely do and relish those moments.

As an adult, you invest your time in selecting your partner, lover, husband or wife by the amount of income they produce, the car they drive or the body that they have. Imagine that?

You select your life partner and child's parent by these superficial characteristics.
